Photographer/Model: DEA @mdeea__DEA, how did you get involved with modeling? Where are you based now?
Ever since I was a kid I have loved this industry. So, 2 years ago, I decided to take things seriously and started researching the market and the industry. I knew this was for me so I signed my first contract with a modeling agency in Romania. Ever since then I started developing and creating my own image.
What was your first job as a model? How did it feel?
My first job as a model was at a huge Romanian shoe brand called Musette where I had to shoot over 100 pairs of shoes. At the end of over 6 hours of shooting, I felt more confident, delighted but at the same time very exhausted. But from that day on I did not want to stop working.
Besides modeling, what else are you passionate about? What are your hobbies?
I have always been an energetic person, and because of that one of my childhood passions was playing tennis. I had the opportunity to be part of two very competitive tennis academies in Romania. (Academia de tenis Victor Hanescu & Tennis club Europa) which made me very competitive and taught me to never give up.
Who is someone you feel has really influenced you? Why?
I definitely have to say that my parents have influenced me to always be the best version of myself and always taught me to keep my head up no matter what happens in my life. They have also taught me to fight and work for my dreams. Because without work, determination and motivation nothing is possible. So, this had a very strong influence on me.
What keeps you excited about life in general?
Simply, life in general keeps me excited. Everyday is a new story which I'm excited to see where it takes me. To learn and explore new things which life has prepared for me.
What is your advice for people to be happier, healthier and more full of love?
I have noticed that, in general, people strive to achieve all this with great effort.
I think you just have to believe in your intuition, the passion you identify within yourself and the flow of life - respecting its simple laws.
What is the most courageous thing you have ever done?
Swimming with sharks.
Is there an artist you are fascinated about or you would like to work with in the future?
At a very high level I admire Anna Wintour.
Bella Hadid and Adriana Lima have been my favourites for a long time, I really like their energy and attitude in the shows.
Among the designers, I love the creations and inspiration of Simon Porte Jacquemus.
What kind of life would you like to have?
I am determined to do my best for a comfortable life, with people to inspire me and lots of opportunities to make me fulfill my destiny.
If you could change something on the planet, what would it be?
Stop bullying and always respect the other, no matter who they are.
What are your goals for the near future and do you have any exciting project you want to share with us?
I am very excited and can't wait to start my first year at Istituto Marangoni - Milan and apply to one of the most famous modelling agencies in Milan, IMG WorldWide.
