Ivi Cospla: I always have ideas, I have a very creative restless mind

Model: Ivi Cospla @ivicospla
Photographer: Jhow Ferso @jhowferso

Ivi, how did you get involved with modeling? Where are you based now?

I have always liked being in front of the camera, but it was more than a year ago, when I had the opportunity to participate in a photo session, I really enjoyed the experience, the photographer I worked with, saw talent in me and I encourage myself to dedicate more time to it and to train as a model, and since then I have not been able to stop. To this day I continue to grow and learn to try not only to improve, but also to give my best in each idea and in each project.

What do you love most about being a model? And, what do you least enjoy?

How happy it makes me transmit part of myself in each session in each idea. Adapting to each situation, without ceasing to be myself, enjoying seeing my creativity come out and seeing myself differently in each result, but always being myself. I like to contribute part of myself to each job. The photos have allowed me to express myself.

What I least enjoy is when the weather is not good and it is windy or cold, it is what costs me the most. One of the things that cost me the most is not to get frustrated, because of how difficult it is to stand out in this world, how difficult it is to get your place in this industry.

Tell us more about yourself. What else do you do next to modeling?

I am also a makeup artist and I have always moved in the world of beauty I am always looking for the latest trends to inspire me, to be able to practice them and to be able to carry them out in the sessions. I am passionate about the world of beauty, I am passionate about traveling, I always like to be doing something, not being still.

What fuels your imagination and provides you with inspiration?

I always have ideas, I have a very creative restless mind, which is inspired by everything I see, I come up with ideas with little sparks, of things that I see anywhere. I always see how any detail can end up being the center of an idea or a photo session. It can be a simple scarf, a flower, or a color in makeup. And of course the internet is a place that fills me with inspiration.

But what really fuels my inspiration is the passion I feel for the beauty that I see in everything.

In your own eyes, how has modeling experience changed you as a person? What have you learned?

It has changed me for the better, it has created more self-confidence and I am increasingly clear about what I want and what I don't. It has also helped me to know how to express myself better both physically and verbally with people and now I feel that I am more determined. It has taught me to understand myself better, to understand that in a way I am different and that difference is beautiful.

Share your wildest photo shoot/modeling story.

The craziest sessions are always the ones where you have to paint your hair or body, or you have to put glitter or rhinestones, the most artistic ones are usually the ones that take the most time and patience but they are the most entertaining and fun.

I recently had a session in a bathtub, and in this session I had to have my whole body painted with silver pigment, while the bathtub is filled with blue milk. It was not an easy session, due to all this I explain, but at the same time it was a lot of fun. I ended up staining everything I touched and also took a long time to be able to remove all the silver paint.

What is the most courageous thing you have ever done?

The bravest thing I think I have done is how difficult certain moments of my life have been for me, and to see how in those moments I have been able to assume responsibility and do what was right in that difficult situation, those moments have made me understand myself better and continue to grow as a person.

What is the beauty trick you do before a photoshoot?

My great trick: good skin care is the most important thing, when because of this work you wear makeup many times. Cleansing it deeply and keeping it well hydrated. Use quality products suitable for each type of skin.

Is there anything you would change about the modeling industry if you could?

I think that the beauty references, and the vision of the industry, is not exactly the reality, I think that on certain occasions, it was necessary to have more variety and accept the different types of beauty that there are.

Many times in the castings, I don't see that the people who participate are really respected by putting all our talent. I would change the height standards, it strikes me that for agencies if you are under 180 it seems that you are no longer suitable, I do not think that height shows talent. Sometimes the industry seems like that drawer that rayner has where it tells you which suitcases are valid for the cabin. And the world is full of different suitcases.

What projects are you working on next, and what are your goals for the future?

Now I am working with a new brand of bikini pioneers in antibacterial fabric, a material specially made for girls. I am the model for their campaigns and an ambassador for the brand. I have also been lucky enough to be able to participate in one of the most important hairdressing contests "Figaro" and at the moment I am waiting to know how the results of that participation will be.

I have just arrived from a trip to the island of Tenerife, where I have made several clothing catalogs, and also several editorials. One thing that also makes me very excited are the projects that I have pending with the photographer Jhow Ferso, since in the coming weeks we will carry out certain sessions that make me very excited. My goal is to continue learning and growing as a professional in this sector, trying to make each of my jobs allow me to improve myself and get better proposals, better jobs

Where can we see more of your works and get connected with you?

You can see more of me on IG @ivicospla and on litmind.com/ivicospla this is where I have all the editorials published.
