How long have you been a photographer and how did you get your start in the industry?
I graduated as a photographer in 2013, and since then I have started experimenting and creating mainly personal projects. I really like the portrait and nude genres but I'm trying to do all photographic types because because I think they are all connected in some way.
What would you say is your style of photography?
I believe that the fil rouge of my photos is a constant research on light and contrasts rather than the relationship between the human body and nature. I like to make contrast also between the texture of the skin and the texture of nature as i did in this project.
What are the technical challenges of this kind of photography and how did you overcome them?
At first, being able to bond with the subject is the basis of everything, but then you have to know how to adapt to the places and try to make everything simpler and more comfortable for the subject.
What is the secret for an image to become unforgettable?
There are many photos that become unforgettable or that are proclaimed unforgettable, in my opinion it's all a matter of balance between the subject, light, shadow and composition.
What is the most important thing for creating new amazing work?
I believe that the most important thing to create new works is to never stop experimenting and observing. Don't stop at the first obstacles and try to develop your own style and your own artistic awareness by also observing the work of others, of people who can inspire and help us to grow.
What has been your most successful moment to date in your career so far?
I'm at the beginning of my carreer so every little success, publication, and every time I take a photo and I like it it’s a big success.
How do you manage to make your models feel comfortable in front of the camera?
I always try to establish a relationship of trust, talking about everything, tastes in music, cinema or whatever can work to break the ice and get in tune.
What would be some tips you would give to a beginning photographer?
The most important advice in my opinion is to believe in your self, believe in your own style and in what you really want to do. At the beginning don’t focus just on a specific genre and try not to put limits to your imagination!
Are there any current projects you’re working on that you can tell us about?
I am organizing a couple of projects for this summer, I need to understand how to shoot underwater, because it is the kind of photography that i want to do in the future. I want to continue to take portraits and nudes at the sea, rivers and why not, even in some swimming pool.
