Photographer/Retoucher: @Zakharov_photographerTo begin, where are you based? How long has photography been a hobby and career of yours? What motivated you to get started?
Hello, I'm Evgeny and I'm from Russia. 26 Yers old. I'm in love with photography almost for two years. It's strange but more than half of my life I didn't take this art seriously, but one day It changed a lot. There was no special moment when I had felt the passion for photography. It started from my first attempts to edit a mobile photo and suddenly I got so inspired so I decidet to buy my first camera.
What is your dream in terms of your career?
Now I treat photograhy more like a hobby, but in future I want to make some money from it. I guess becoming a well known photographer at least in my country is great dream.
What has been your most successful moment to date in your career so far?
My most sucsessful moment in my career wasn't so long ago. My last photoshoot was really a big step forward in quality and I'm realy proud of it. It's calld Queen of Roses
Has your vision and style evolved or changed over time?
I believe that it's one of the things that's constantly changing. Of course, my vision has changed a lot sicnce I started doing photography.
What type of models do you prefer to shoot with? Why?
There are no special models I prefer to shoot, because everyone is unique. The main thing for me is the model must fit the mood of shoot I'm trying to achive.
Can you please explain some of the feelings you are trying to achieve in your photographs?
I love drama. I think it's the queen of genres in any type of art. So I often try to achive dramatic feelings from my models combind with some fashion look.
How has photography influenced you as a person and what do you love most about being a photographer?
Now photography is a big part of my life and I want it to become something even more. Due to this I've found new friends and met good people.
From your point of view, what makes the shoot successful?
For me the successful shoot is when everything comes together: Lighting, styling, makeup, Idea, great model. It's all about the feelings we're trying to achive.
