Puffer coats are popular because they are warm, so it’s not unusual for us to see people wearing them around during winter. However, we can’t say that they are really stylish or fashionable - until recently. Historically, puffer coats can add visual weight to your body, making you feel and look puffy.

If we’re being honest, we usually prefer lightweight puffers over general puffer coats, exactly because they tend to be more flattering on the body - but that doesn’t seen to be a problem anymore.

I know it’s to forget about fashion and toss it out the window when temperatures go down, it’s really hard to deliver a look when the air feels like knives against your skin. So, generally, a giant puffer coat is the sign of fashionable defeat, because it doesn’t matter how great and glamorous the outfit beneath is, a puffer rarely has you feeling your most stylish self.

But, according to the streetstyle and some of our favorites celebrities, it turns out you can be both snuggly and fashion this season.

It goes to show that the puffer really is this season’s favorite pair-with-anything coat. It adds a more sporty, casual touch to almost any ensemble—so just make sure to pair it with more high-fashion and polished accessories or refined clothing, to replicate that true fashionable vibe.
