Saint Perry: Be fearless, take chances not everyone can understand the artist, express-yourself.

Could you tell us who you are and how did you get involved with fashion?

I am Saint Perry , founder and creative director of SAINT PERRY. I was born with a passion for fashion started at a very young age. While growing up I would express myself through my clothes, accessories, and style. I often joke that I was born with the fashion gene.

A trip to visit my Uncle, who is a fashion designer, exposed me deeper to the world of fashion. I worked with him to learn techniques and methods for making a high-end, quality garment.

I was highly influenced by my environment. If music was playing, I was dancing; if I saw art, I drew it; if my favorite designer dropped a collection, I designed my own version.

SAINT PERRY is a piece of treasure, a symbol of your style. Inspired by fashion lovers, and crafted for the modern-day minimalist, each collection has a modern take on timeless basics. Precise stitching and premium fabrics make every detail count.

SAINT PERRY is the epitome of artistic expression that can be found in modern fashion.

How is working in a fashion different than from when you started?

The fashion industry has changed significantly since I started my career. Today's consumers are smarter, savvier, and more informed than ever before. They have a wider variety of shopping options, from luxury to fast fashion. As a result, the rules of the game are constantly changing for designers, retailers, and brands. Growing with the business has meant learning how to manage people on a much larger scale than I ever imagined when I started out. We were so small that we could pick up the phone and talk directly to anyone in the company and now it's about delegating and trusting in other people's abilities.

What do you want to achieve through fashion?

I hope to make a difference in people’s life by advocating individuality and empowerment. In this new digital age, fashion is a media that can create a positive impact on society. Fashion is a powerful tool for self-expression.

Are there particular issues within the fashion industry that concern you? If you could change anything about the industry, what would that be?

I believe the fashion industry is rife with questionable labor practices and environmental damage. There are several projects that I have come across that are trying to make a difference in this regard, but it is difficult to make a difference as a single entity. The key is to work together. I think it's important for consumers to become more educated about where their clothing is coming from and how it was made. I would love to see more companies take responsibility for their production, more transparency and more people recycling their old clothes and donating them to charity. Fashion needs to become more sustainable.

In your daily routine, what resources do you like to learn new things about art, fashion?

I tend to research designers (new and old). I watch documentaries, read and utilize social media.

What's the most important thing you want your potential client to know about you?

Our experience, skill, and craftsmanship will be evident from the moment you feel SAINT PERRY.

I like to work collectively with my clients, while considering their tastes, preferences, and inspiration to develop a look that is both visually strong and consistent with their message.

When creating I try to connect with ethnicity, culture, and lifestyle as a tool to connect with the innermost desire, at SAINT PERRY we create BOLD so you can express LOVE.

If you could say one thing to someone younger who looks up to you, what would you say?

Be fearless, take chances not everyone can understand the artist, express-yourself through creativity to be understood.

Listen to your gut and take risks. Embrace every opportunity that comes your way, because it's the experiences that shape us into who we are.

What’s been the biggest highlight in your career so far?

Creating and designing collectable piece that everyone loves. It's a very cool feeling to know that your hard work, creativity, and ideas have helped to build something of value, and make other happy.

Tell me about a time you receive criticism regarding your work?

I am always open to criticism, because it gives me a better understanding of how I can improve my work. There are times when I receive feedback that is constructive, and others that are more personal. it’s important to make every single client happy every single time.

What do you love most about what you are doing now?

My mom always says the old expression "do what you love, and you'll never work a day in your life." I couldn't agree more. What keeps me going is creative experience for people to help with selflove.

What does life look like for you now and where do you see yourself in the future?

It has been very rewarding I'm called to create. I have a vision and a purpose that is larger than myself.

My future includes creative collaborations with my team, designing great clothes that make everyone feel beautiful and well-dressed, as well as helping to develop the next generation of fashion designers."
