Sarahjiang: I hope I can always shoot what I want to shoot freely.

When did your passion for photography start and what were the main milestones that turned you into the artist you currently are?

When I was in high school, I liked to see a lot of photography works and began to take pictures in college. After graduation, I engaged in photography as a sideline. I was fortunate to know many fellow travelers and photographed a lot of work, so I decided to switch to photography from the financial management industry.

Tell us a bit more about your project "Free growth". Is there any particular message you would like to get across to the viewers?

From makeup to clothing, it is very flexible, and fluttering, and has the meaning of freedom. The overall color selection of blue is also because of the vastness and freedom of the sea, which means that today's young people pursue their original aspirations, grow freely, and go forward.

What are the technical challenges of this kind of photography and how did you overcome them?

The challenge is to come up with a plan that expresses the idea. Fortunately, there is a team, and the makeup artist will also give some suggestions, and everyone will cooperate to complete the work.

We admire the exquisite level of detail in all your works. Does your creative process start from a certain image in your mind, or do you seek inspiration as you progress?

Determine the lighting, makeup, costumes, and props before shooting, and more detailed shooting ideas will also have new inspiration in the process.

Would you have any tips for non-models on how to look good in front of the camera?

I will set some scenes, let the model bring in the character, and then seize the opportunity to shoot. I will also prepare some actions in advance according to the characteristics of the model so that they can refer to them when shooting.

You have an impressive portfolio. How would you describe your signature look and what is it about your style that sets you apart from other photographers?

I want the overall to be mild but powerful, in terms of color, sometimes high contrast and rich color, sometimes low saturation.

What is your dream in terms of your career?

It's very simple, I hope I can always shoot what I want to shoot freely.

If you couldn't be a photographer, what would be your other career choice?

Maybe a teacher because I love to share.

What is typically in your camera bag and what is your favorite photography accessory, other than your camera?

I have batteries in my camera bag, various glass items, and even stockings for photo props, favorite maybe a film, with unknown surprises.

What projects are you working on next, and what are your goals for the future?

I want to take pictures about the green theme later, The short-term goal is to enrich my shooting experience and have more works
