When did your passion for photography start and what were the main milestones that turned you into the artist you currently are?
I’ve started photography about 8 years ago when I was still in college. Actually, when I got my first camera I was really addicted to action sports, so I’ve spent a lot of time travelling all over the world taking pictures and making movies with athletes. And only two years ago I’ve decided that I really love fashion, cause it gives me lots of ideas. It inspires me. I’m doing lots of stuff, searching Pinterest, Instagram, I really study a lot. Still, I’m doing action sports videography, so I’m kind of fashion photographer and action sports moviemaker in one face.
How has photography influenced you as a person and what do you love most about being a photographer?
Photography gives me opportunity to create something, that’s awesome. I love the process of preparing for the shoot: assembling a team, preparing mood boards, choosing clothes, accessories, make-up and hair style. It's a big responsibility, sometimes I'm so nervous that I can't sleep. Each person in the team contributes some part of himself, but photographer is responsible for how it will all look in the end. This process has made me a more organized and stress-resistant person.
What would be some tips you would give to a beginning photographer?
I don’t like to give advices actually, just believe in yourself and never stop doing what you love.
You are going about conducting a photo shoot, could you take us through the typical planning process for your images?
Planning a shoot is never easy. Sometimes the idea falls literally from the sky, and the process begins: drawing up a mood board, searching for a makeup artist, clothes, accessories, selecting a make-up, searching for a model. First, I look for a Model for a specific idea, then we agree on a make-up and hairstyle that are close to the mood board . Sometimes I organize a shoot in two days, sometimes I prepare it for a month - it’s never the same.
What's the most important thing you want your potential clients to know about you?
Information for potential customers - I'm a terrible perfectionist. Therefore, I coordinate every detail of the wardrobe, and I am very picky about the light and locations.
Are there any current projects you’re working on that you can tell us about?
Currently I’m working on two shoots, it takes me some time to organise everything. But I believe there would be more, cause I have lots of ideas)
