Can you give us a bit of background on how your career evolved?
My main profession is economist, but I have always loved hairdressing and makeup. At the age of 42, when the children grew up and moved to university in another city, I learned the professions of hair stylist and make-up artist. Now I have been in a new profession for 6 years.
What do you love the most about your profession?
I really enjoy my clients makover and their happy smiles, and, of course, I love the opportunity for creative expression.
If you could go back and tell yourself one thing before beginning your career what would it be?
I would say to myself - don't be afraid of anything – you will succeed-you are doing everything right
If you could say one thing to someone younger who looks up to you, what would you say?
At any age-it's never too late to have a new start. The main thing is not to give up what you started at the first difficulties.
What's the most important thing you want your potential clients to know about you?
That I love them and appreciate their trust.
What makes a photo-session successful? What is your goal from the beginning to the end of the shoot on set?
The success of the photo shoot is a close-knit team of professionals. This is a warm atmosphere, this is the ability to find a compromise and the ability to come to the rescue. The goal on the set is the creative process itself, which should bring pleasure and high-quality results.
How would you describe your work to someone who has never seen it?
If this is a job for a client, then I strive for a sustained style and aesthetics. If it's creative, it's almost always an explosion of emotion.
You have an incredible career – what have been your highlights?
One of the most important moments in my work is the acquaintance with the photographer Alexander Pogorelov @pogorelov.photo. When I first started my first steps, Alexander was already a professional photographer. He makes real masterpieces, his work is honest and he does not change himself. I learned a lot from him and I still do.
Are there any current projects you’re working on that you can tell us about?
I want to delve into the history of fashion, so that my work is deeper and more perfect.
Where can our readers keep up with your work and get connected with you?
I post my work on my Instagram account @tcurikova. I'll be glad to see you.
