Happy to have you here, Victor. Tell us your story, how did you get started modeling and where is your home at the moment?
I currently live in San Diego, however I was discovered by a man named Ryan in West Hollywood at my very first pride event. He was scouting out models for a photographer Ed Freeman. And I agreed to and have been modeling ever since.
Looking back how has the modeling experience changed your personal/professional life? Have you grown more comfortable with yourself since you have started?
I have absolutely grown into accepting myself more especially physically, I used to always assume that having ownership of self was being showy or vain. But the fact is why shouldn’t the message of body positivity go both ways .. for those who work hard for their body’s, take care of themselves, stay healthy, they too, should celebrate that. And so I do, I’m thankful for what my body does for me snd I treat it well.
Is there anything you wish you had known when you first got into modeling?
I don’t think there’s any specific thing I would say “I wish I had known” I’ve learned a lot and I’ve taken those things into future considerations when dealing with shoots, concepts and photographers.
What is the best advice you have ever been given by a photographer?
The best advice I’ve been given is “you don’t have to do every shoot just because they want you, if it doesn’t fit with your values, kindly decline”
What are your favorite genres and styles of modeling? In your opinion, what are your strongest features as a model?
I absolutely love fitness modeling, art nudes, underwear, dance type shoots, fashion and editorial.
If you hadn't become a model, what else do you think you would be doing?
Well I’m grateful and thankful to be doing the things I want to in addition to modeling. I’m an artist, teacher, dancer / aerialist and all these are extremely fulfilling and make me happy.
What's something you haven't achieved but hope to?
I would absolutely love to be published in the same book with my artwork and modeling pics in one publication. Or even better have my artwork be the background of a shoot I’m published in.
When you want to unwind, what are your favorite go-to activities?
Oh wow my unwinding comprises of listening to music .. I love writing poetry so that relaxes me and is my escapism. I also love just sketching and doodling it allows me to unwind and simply be.
If you could say something to everyone on the planet, what would it be?
Treat yourself with the same kindness you treat everyone else with.. you deserve just as much.
What projects are you working on next, and what are your goals for the future?
I’m working on some projects like future publications.. some aerial dance projects and I hope to be in more publications in the future. I’m settings. Goal of four more this year. Wish me luck 🙈
Where can we see more of your works and get connected with you?
